Garanti Bbva Launches Cryptocurrency Wallet.

Garanti BBVA has officially launched a new iOS application to provide its customers with the ability to securely store and manage their cryptocurrency assets. This application is specifically focused on secure storage of popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and USD Coin (USDC).

The application available on the App Store currently supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, and USD Coin. Users can store these assets in the application, but Garanti BBVA Crypto does not yet support buying and selling transactions.

Garanti BBVA Crypto stands out primarily as an application providing cryptocurrency wallet and transfer services. This cold wallet application aims to address users as a platform ensuring the security of their assets. According to the information on the application's page, Garanti BBVA Crypto has been specifically developed to protect cryptocurrency assets from digital attacks, data breaches, and other cyber risks.

To use the Garanti BBVA Crypto application, you need to create an account first. After providing the necessary information, you perform a face verification process by uploading your new identity card to the system. Then, to activate your Garanti BBVA Crypto account, you only need to transfer 1 TL to your account. These account activation procedures can be carried out 24/7 through banks other than Garanti Bank, including Ziraat Bank, Vakıfbank, Halkbank, Akbank, İş Bankası, QNB Finansbank, Yapı Kredi Bankası, and other banks."

The number of supported assets will be increased.

According to the official statement on the Garanti BBVA Crypto website, 'As Garanti BBVA Crypto, we continue our efforts with the vision of being a leading crypto asset service provider based in Turkey. As a start, we offer a wallet service where you can transfer and securely store your crypto assets. We are working for more.' It is also stated that the number of supported assets will be increased in the near future.

Call center support

The wallet service includes call center support. Users can get assistance by calling the number 444 0 365 every day between 8:30 and 17:30. A two-stage registration process is required to use the application. After creating an account, users are asked to verify their identities with their personal information.

Withdrawal fees

Garanti BBVA Crypto does not charge any fees for investment transactions, but it charges fees for withdrawal transactions. The withdrawal fees for supported assets are as follows:

• 0.0005 BTC for Bitcoin,
• 0.003 ETH for Ethereum,
• 12 USDC for USD Coin.

The bank does not charge any storage fees for assets stored in the wallet.
