Two Top Executives Resign From Grayscale!

Grayscale has appointed Mark Shifke as its new President.

Grayscale, despite its recent efforts in the spot Bitcoin ETF arena, faced a shake-up today with the news of resignations from its executives, Bary Silbert and Mark Murphy.

The resignation of board members from a company that has applied for a spot Bitcoin ETF raised concerns among some cryptocurrency investors regarding ETFs.

Bary Silbert and Mark Murphy will step down from the Board of Directors starting from January 1, 2024, and they will be replaced by Mark Shifke, Matthew Kummell, and Edward McGee.

Mark Shifke will take over as the Chairman of the Board, succeeding Bary E. Silbert.

Mark Shifke is the Chief Financial Officer at DCG. Matthew Kummell is the Senior Vice President responsible for investment operations at DCG and the Director of Foundry. Edward McGee is the Chief Financial Officer at the Sponsor and serves on the Board of Directors.

The individuals joining the Grayscale management team appear to be highly experienced.
