Elon Musk Says X's Added Financial Features Will Surprise Everyone

Tesla CEO Elon Musk is gearing up to transform X into a financial center, as reported by The Verge. Musk told X employees that new financial features will be added by the end of 2024, and he expects these features to be quite powerful, surprising everyone.

Musk stated the following in his speech: "When I say payments, I'm actually referring to someone's entire financial life. If there's money involved, it will be on our platform. It could be money, securities, or whatever... So, I'm talking about a system that will work without the need for a bank account, not just a simple transaction like sending $20 to a friend."

X CEO Linda Yaccarino expressed that the company sees 2024 as a significant opportunity. She also mentioned that if they fail to deliver these features by the end of 2024, it could displease Musk.

X is currently working to obtain the necessary licenses to offer financial services in the United States. Musk mentioned in his statement that he hopes to secure these licenses within a few months.
